Just after lunch, at approximately 12:15 PM, Company 17 was dispatched to assist the Philipsburg Fire Department in responding to a working structure fire. The initial 911 reports indicated a residential fire, with smoke visibly present upon the call.

As Engine-Rescue 17 was enroute to the scene, Chief 57-2 arrived and discovered a small fire in the furnace room of the residence. The box was held to units responding. Once on scene the crew assisted with ventilation.

Company 17 remains committed to ensuring the safety of our community and will continue to support neighboring fire departments as needed.
